Mombasa's Best Kept Secret

Hidden away down a windy track to the east of Mtwapa village is one of Mombasa most enticing waterfront restaurants. It takes a bit to get there but well worth the effort. Nestled amongst luxury creek-front villas and looking out at the international yachts moored nearby, the location is spectacular, and the food on offer does not disappoint. With seafood a specialty, the menu is lavish and mouth-watering. Starters include Champagne Oysters cooked in pink butter and Calamari Allegro, pan fried calamari in a lemon garlic butter sauce. For your main course there is seafood galore to choose from as well as tempting steak dishes, and a variety of chicken dishes, including Crispy Soya Chicken. Make sure you've room for dessert and try the Mousse au Chocolat or the Crepe Aquamarine. In addition to the restaurant, there are 3 Arab Dhows available to take you on sun-downer cruises and dhow safaris out into the Indian Ocean. The cruises can be tailor made to suit your needs, and they can help arrange wedding ceremonies and other celebrations or corporate events.
